I will never forget serving at the Holy Mass of the late, great Cardinal Alfons M. Stickler.
This was the occasion of his elevation to the rank of a Cardinal-Priest in his titular church of San Giorgio in Velabro in Rome, which the Holy Father Pope John Paul II raised to the rank of a minor basilica. This church had been closed for restorations when it was damaged by the Italian mafia.
Cardinal Stickler was a great defender and supporter of the Traditional Latin Mass.
